Happy December!

I’m giving myself a little room to have a break for the holidays where I intend to watch every Rankin Bass Christmas cartoon, every Garfield and Charlie Brown holiday special, and several rom coms for good measure. It’s been a very eventful year for me, and I’m gonna enjoy it!

I did this special illustration for the Random House Children’s team. My editor commissioned it to celebrate her coworkers, and I think it turned out so nicely. I enjoyed doing little cartoon portraits for everybody.

I also recently got a puppy! My very first dog. Her name is Minerva (Minnie, for short). Her mother was a poodle and Australian shepherd mix, and her dad was a pug. She’s four months old, currently.

My little brother and his fiancée came to stay with us for Christmas, and they brought their dog Winifred (Winnie). Minnie is currently kind of obsessed with Winnie. She loves to follow Winnie around, and Winnie has been doing her best to remain calm. Winnie sat still enough for me to get a little portrait of her in.

Winnie finally let Minnie hang out with her as I’m typing up this post, so I had to snap a little photo.

I also got a little time to do some fanart, so here’s a drawing of Morrigan from Darkstalkers. I haven’t drawn her in a while! I also haven’t worked in this style in a little while either, so it was nice to go back to a comfort space.
